With one quick blink the time has gone, an era past, time to move on.
Your suitcases packed, furnishings gone, spaces created, so long.
It’s not sunk in -yet the void’s filling, the noise of you no longer whispering.
I turn, your room’s an empty place, a nothingness -as if you let things undress.
Wardrobes hollow, distorted air, I’m unsure if I can barely stay here.
Curtains drawn, I am forlorn, a day surpassed, time to straddle on.
