Midnight Enchantments

He lay limp,
Moonlight reflecting off his skin.
Etched in ink,
Markings of life, death.
She stitched him,
Patched him,
Chemically wrapped him
-He had to live.
For love,
For her,
She conjured him.
Toxic love,
He breathed not.

She held him,
Caressed him,
Moonlight danced on her skin.
A concoction she brewed,
Fumes, nuclear,
Radiation clear,
She did not fear,
He will wake, she willed.
For love,
For her,
She conjured him.
Toxic love,
His eyes twitched.

She chants in wonder,
Words eloping his soul,
Midnight Enchantments touch skins.
His heart beats for,
Searching her essence,
Feeling her presence,
Back from dying
-Her time for crying.
For love,
For himself,
He bound her.
Toxic love,
She breathes not.

She lay limp,
Moonlight reflecting off her skin.
Etched in ink,
Markings of life, death.
He stitched her,
Patched her,
Chemically wrapped her
-She had to live.
For love,
For him,
He conjured her.
Toxic love,
She lives not.
